Great Interview w/ Michael Juan Nunez About His New Album “Rise”

Great Interview w/ Michael Juan Nunez About His New Album “Rise”

Michael Juan Nunez at RadioLouisiana in Lafayette, LA

Michael Juan Nunez signing personalizing a CD after the interview Thanks MAN!

Great day interviewing a very symbolic and heartfelt songwriter…Michael Juan Nunez. Today we were able to play three tracks from the new album “Betta,” “Lemonade,” & “Trouble.” We have to say all three tracks are different but they will become addicting in their own way the more your continue to enjoy the album more. “Betta” is for sure one of our favorites with a more heavier sound from Nunez you will be happy to enjoy! Out of 40 songs written only 8 made the cut from Nunez who is a pure perfectionist when it comes to his music as well as his artwork that he actually created also on the front cover. The cover…a Phoenix which symbolizes many struggles Nunez went through personally. In the interview we touched on art, the process of making the album, and many things that you may learn as a new musician or a new Nunez fan. It was awesome to get to know Michael Juan Nunez much more and hear about the explanations behind the music…it certainly makes you want to grab an album for yourself and follow the band to every gig!

The Official CD Release for the new album “Rise” will be at Artmosphere Bistro in Lafayette, LA April 30, 2016….Josh Garret will also be playing with the band follow them below to start enjoying Michael Juan Nunez!

Remembering Live Music Supporter Raymond J. Goodrich Sr.

Remembering Live Music Supporter Raymond J. Goodrich Sr.

Today we were able to interview a previous employee of Lafayette Music which has been in existence since 1955. The store was originally opened on Jefferson St in Lafayette, LA and then eventually found a new home located at 3700 Johnston St. in Lafayette also. Salesman, Musician, and owner of Lafayette Music…Mr. Goodrich was a big supporter of Live Music, Music Education, Festivals, and Musicians in General in the SW Louisiana area. For years, Mr. Goodrich also helped in raising over 1 million dollars to help with scholarships benefiting the UL school of music. These efforts helped many locally and continue to do so today in the community. We are thankful to Karl Songne for visiting with us, to speak with us about some amazing accomplishments helping us get to know Mr. Goodrich even more today. Songne was a 6 year employee of Lafayette Music in Lafayette, LA and has learned a great deal by holding the title with his time there. We were able to also speak about local businesses and how they continue to be huge staples in our local community.
We are very happy to take the time to speak about a man who has taken such a huge role in helping our communities economy. Not just in teaching and raising funds, but being such a creative difference to our local musicians, and festivals in the Acadiana area. To quote Karl as an example “He was a man of his word & always stood by his promises.” Thank you for helping Acadiana grow Mr. Goodrich!
